Job description

Park Place of Elmhurst is a 5-star Assisted Living Community located in Elmhurst, IL and is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) part-time from 11PM-7:30PM. Park Place of Elmhurst is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve!

Shift Hours: 11PM-7:30AM.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Responsible to provide direct nursing care to the clients and manage the day-to-day activities performed by the Certified Nursing Assistants working as a team.
  • Administers medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • Provides education and guidance to clients and their families on disease process and management.
  • Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet the medical needs of the patients.
  • Receive and review nursing report at the beginning of the shift and compile nursing report at the end of the shift.
  • Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
  • Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.
