How You Make a Difference

As an LPN, you play a vital role in the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, under RN supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions under RN supervision, contribute to individualized treatment planning, and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
• Implement treatment programs directed by healthcare practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to protocols.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift, adhering to safety techniques and procedures, and respond to codes or health emergencies within guidelines.
• Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document encounters using SOAP charting to ensure communication with nursing staff, physicians, and relevant personnel.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to professional development and adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience: Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of clinic experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
• Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
