Job summary

Providence Healthcare of Thomaston is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, you will develop and implement individualized care plans, assist in orienting and supervising nursing staff, and manage daily unit operations per shift.

Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing is preferred; must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing and licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

In conjunction with the Unit Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of Nursing in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

Requirements:

1. The Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing and must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
2. Experience is preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing
