Current LPN Openings:
  • FRI day shift
  • FRI/SAT day shift
  • SUN/MON day shift
  • FRI/SAT evening shift
  • e/o MON evening shift

Day shift: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

Evening shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Night shift: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am

Compensation range is $31.00-$42.00/hr depending on experience.

Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients in a nursing home facility by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards
  • Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies the Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents; may notify supervisor as needed
  • Performs nursing assessments to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
  • Responds to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
  • Documents interventions, patient behaviors and physical assessments for assigned patients
  • Initiates a patient/family‑education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient/family, as prescribed by Physician
  • Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
  • Interviews patient to determine medical problem/condition and documents in chart for physician
  • Obtains and records patient’s vital signs and weight
  • Reviews physician’s orders, lab requests, or follow‑up needs with patient
  • Documents services performed for billing purposes
  • Dresses wounds and gives enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages
  • Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge
  • Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or inter‑muscular injection, and notes time and amount on patients’ charts
  • Assembles and uses such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers
  • Collects samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and performs routine laboratory tests on samples
  • Records food and fluid intake and output
  • Maintains supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies
  • Responds to patient inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient’s problems and questions
  • Follows up with patients on lab results, including the scheduling of any additional tests
  • Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices
  • Other duties may be assigned
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Active, in good‑standing, Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Colorado. Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
