Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of an RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to care for patients on the assigned unit.
• Collect data reflective of patient status across the lifespan.
• Develop, modify and implement the plan of care to deliver high-quality patient care per standards.
• Abide by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed independent practitioner.


• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.


• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patient’s status.


• Participate in the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and high quality patient care.


• Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
