We are open to either Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Medical Assistant (MA/CMA/RMA). This is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) position, scheduled Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some flexibility needed.

Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position provides family-centered nursing care, health maintenance advice, and assistance navigating the healthcare system, tailored to patient needs. The scope aligns with Minnesota Board of Nursing and Nurse Practice Act standards. The Medical Assistant (MA/CMA/RMA) supports clinical operations through direct patient care and administrative duties, working closely with providers and the care team.

Compensation & Benefits

LPN hourly wage: $24.85 - $34.48, median $29.66.
MA hourly wage: $21.00 - $29.53, median $24.61; Certified MA (CMA/RMA): $21.00 - $31.30, median $26.09. Benefits include retirement match, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and health benefits for .5 FTE and above.

Core Responsibilities

As an LPN:

• Deliver patient care using nursing processes.
• Conduct assessments, develop and modify care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide family-centered education and promote health and safety.
• Exercise independent judgment and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and initiatives.

As an MA/CMA/RMA:

• Support providers during patient visits, including collecting medical information, assisting with procedures, and documenting in EMR.
• Ensure efficient patient flow and maintain clinic environment.
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively within the team.

Qualifications

As an LPN:

• Current LPN license from MN Board of Nursing.
• Completion of a practical nursing program.
• CPR-BLS certification from American Heart Association or equivalent, with a requirement to obtain BLS within one month if not already certified.

As an MA/CMA/RMA:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification/registration.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
