Job summary

Helio Health, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Syracuse Opioid Treatment Program on a full-time basis. The position supports a multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing medical and counseling services in various clinical settings.

Shift is 5:00am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday. Salary ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, with a sign-on incentive of up to $4,000 for eligible full-time LPNs.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS LPN license and be actively registered.
• Experience or training in substance abuse or behavioral health preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works in various clinical settings providing medical and counseling services as part of the treatment team.
• Provide client services for medical issues.
• Monitor and document clients' medical status and withdrawal signs; report to supervisor.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate clinical medical concerns to staff.
• Provide direct client care including medical assessment and treatment planning.
• Document medical consultations and ensure compliance with policy and law.
• Conduct public health screenings per agency requirements.

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)willwork in a variety of clinical settings providing medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.TheLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Health’s Syracuse Opioid Treatment Program.

Schedule:Monday - Friday. 5:00am - 1:30pm

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, all Full-Time LPNs are eligible for a Sign-On incentiveup to $4,000!

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Works in a variety of clinical settings providing medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Provide client services for medical issues.
• Monitors and documents clients’ medical status, signs and symptoms of withdrawal and reports to supervisor or medical director.
• Works with other medical staff for continuity of clients’ medical care.
• Communicates with clinical staff regarding clients’ medical concerns.
• Works directly with clients in providing medical services and interpreting medical information.
• Provides direct client care of medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law.
• Provides public health and screening protocols.
• Provides and documents medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review consistency with agency policy and requirements

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
• Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
