Wellstar Health System is hiring an LPN for day shift in the United States. The LPN will work under the guidance of an RN or Nurse Manager to provide patient-centered care, coordinate tests and follow-up, and educate patients and families.
Duties include medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to meet patients' goals. Preferred candidates have prior healthcare experience and may have oncology, ambulatory, or outpatient setting exposure.

The LPN works under the direction of the direction of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. Provides care for the patient. This includes age appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high-quality care. Includes preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in medical record. Assists with patient and family education. They are responsible for attending and participating in staff meetings, in-services, special projects and continued education. Performs other duties as necessary. In this role they can serve as a preceptor for newly hired LPN colleagues.

High School Diploma / GED General or Other / Certificate Nursing
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. LPN - Lic Practical Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
Previous healthcare experience
