Bon Secours Mercy Health in Fairfield, Ohio, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support Occupational Health services. The LPN delivers patient care under Physician direction, prepares patients for visits, observes and reports responses, and collaborates with the health care team to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires completion of an accredited LPN program, an active LPN license, and strong teamwork and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited LPN program.
• Active state LPN licensure is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team in meeting patient/family needs.
• Performs direct basic nursing care per LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Supports indirect care with clerical or administrative tasks as assigned by the registered nurse.
• Acts as a chaperone during patient examination as requested.
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Occ Health - Fairfield

Job Summary

The Occupational Health LPN is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Physician. The LPN functions as an integral part of the health care team to provide the highest quality of care to the patient by preparing and assessing patients for provider visits. In this position, the LPN will observe, record, and report patient responses to medical care provided during appointments.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with physicians and other health care team members in meeting patient/family needs
• Implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice
• Appropriately labels and packages specimens, as trained
• Assists in providing indirect care through various clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse
• Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examination as requested
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• High School Degree or GED
• Completion of an accredited LPN Program

Certifications

• Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Experience

• 1 year of work experience in an Occupational Health setting (preferred, not required)
