Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the NYU Langone Dialysis Center in Mineola, working evening shifts in the Acute Dialysis unit.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform other duties as assigned.
2. Complete documentation reflecting multidisciplinary coordination, including teaching/learning needs of patients and families, and evaluate patient responses to interventions. Address clinical issues promptly and escalate as needed, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
3. Assess patient progress, modify care plans accordingly, and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet patient needs. Provide direct patient care in accordance with policies, clinical pathways, and guidelines.
4. Recognize and respond to issues, utilizing escalation policies. Incorporate family-centered care principles, verify advance directives, and maintain effective communication. Ensure a safe environment and respond to emergencies appropriately.
5. Obtain prior authorization for medications and referrals, maintain cleanliness and supplies in exam rooms, and process medication orders accurately.
6. Address patient satisfaction concerns, implement conflict resolution, and foster collaborative relationships within the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent technical diploma, graduate of an accredited LPN program, with 0-1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

Required Licenses:

LPN license.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Salary Range:

The annual salary range is $72,907.17 - $84,207.84, depending on experience, education, and hospital needs. This range does not include bonuses or additional compensation. For more details, click here.
