Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive geriatric nursing care in a Phoenix long-term care setting. You will work under the supervision of an RN or physician to deliver care and administer treatments while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for residents.

You will oversee and train subordinate staff, observe resident conditions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Newly Licensed welcome.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Job description

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive geriatric nursing care and treatment within their scope of license, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and hygienic environment. Key responsibilities include delivering a range of nursing care for elderly residents, overseeing and training subordinate staff, and administering medical treatment as per the care plan. The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or physician and may act as a lead or perform limited supervision on specific assignments.
