Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) for inpatient medical-surgical care on our nursing unit. You will gather and report data, carry out orders under RN supervision, and perform therapeutic procedures, with patient safety and comfort in mind.

Holds current LPN/LVN licensure in the appropriate state, or compact licensure, plus BLS (AHA approved within 90 days). Previous inpatient experience is preferred but not required; IV certification may be required per state rules.

Qualifications

• Holds current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if applicable.
• Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN supervision on the nursing unit.
• Gather and report data and carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures and ensure age- and population-appropriate care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
