Essential Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to behavioral health patients.
• Complete nursing assessments and assist with developing individualized treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and wellness.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Participate in patient admissions, discharge planning, and ongoing care coordination.
• Assist with community outreach, educational events, and referral source engagement.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, agencies, and community partners to promote IOP services.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable state and federal requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
