Job summary

Mountain Valley Hospice is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our inpatient units for the night shift (7 PM–7 AM) in Dobson, NC. You will provide essential nursing care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support patients and families during end-of-life care.

This role features 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with night hours and a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care, teamwork, thorough documentation, and comfort and dignity for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate approach to end-of-life care.

Mountain Valley Hospice is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our day shift team at our inpatient units. As an LPN with us, you’ll provide essential care to ensure comfort and peace for our patients, offering invaluable support to their loved ones during these tender hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care, including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring vital signs throughout the night.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs and wishes.
• Offer emotional and practical support to patients and families, fostering a calm, comforting environment during evening hours.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure smooth communication for seamless continuity of care.

Schedule

• 3 twelve-hours shifts per week
• Night Shift hours 7 PM– 7 AM
• Every third weekend commitment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license.
• Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
