Job summary

BrightStar Care of Grosse Pointe and Southeast Macomb, MI is looking for several LPNs to look after a high acuity patient who needs 24/7 nursing care. There will also be a home health aide assigned to this client as well (a two person team).

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN license.
• Active CPR certification and TB test or chest X-ray.
• Minimum 1 year experience in home health, primary care, or health facility preferred.
• Valid driver license with auto insurance.
• Able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical within the past six months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts.
• Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders.
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
• Physical within the past six (6) months
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility preferred.
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
• Licensed driver with proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to work on weekends, nights, and holidays
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
