Job summary

The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts, under the direction of the Director of Nursing. You will supervise CNAs/STNAs, plan and direct work, and ensure continuity of care in a facility-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Current state license to practice as an LPN.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing, overseeing and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policy under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/designee. This role provides clinical supervision to nursing assistants, ensures continuity of care, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
