Arden Courts is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Health & Wellness team in Midlothian, VA. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments, maintain resident records, and ensure care aligns with physician orders and policy.

Strong English communication and basic literacy are required. Gerontological nursing experience is preferred; active LPN licensure in the state of practice is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current active LPN license in state of practice.
• Experience with gerontological nursing preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and English-speaking abilities required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The LPN also ensures resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines . As a member of the Health & Wellness team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
