Job summary

Providence Healthcare of Thomaston in Thomaston, GA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care settings. The LPN will assist in developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans, support a per-shift unit operation, and participate in orientation and supervision of nursing staff, assuming leadership responsibilities as needed.

Candidates must hold an approved LPN diploma and be licensed by the State Board of Nursing;

Qualifications

Providence Healthcare of Thomaston is hiring a LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) to work both short term rehabilitation and long-term care.

Position Summary

In conjunction with the Unit Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of Nursing in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

Requirements

1. The Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an approved school for Practical or Vocational Nursing and must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
2. Experience is preferred in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing
