The LPN contributes to the assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, including assessments such as CIWA/COWS for assigned patients within the LPN scope of practice. This involves data collection, monitoring, observing, recording, and communicating patient responses to the supervising Registered Nurse. The LPN performs nursing duties consistent with their scope, including administering treatments, medications, and procedures under the delegation and supervision of an RN.
