Position Summary
  • The LPN provides quality nursing care, supporting patients' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being according to laws, regulations, and MUSC standards.
Working Conditions
  • Participation in continuing education
  • Work in department and throughout the facility
  • Frequent interruptions, exposure to hostile or upset individuals, and potential hazards such as falls, burns, odors, infectious waste, and diseases.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program
  • Current licensure in applicable state
  • CPR certification (must be maintained)
  • Preferred: 1 year geriatric nursing experience
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge in nursing practice
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Knowledge of long-term and post-acute care regulations
  • Proficiency in clinical services and safety standards
Essential Functions
  • Deliver quality nursing care and supervise CNAs
  • Accurate and timely charting
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively
  • Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate dependable attendance
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment
