Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus.
• Must possess a current CPR license.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
• Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice complies with state and federal guidelines.
• Document care provided and report changes in resident status to shift supervisor.
• Review referrals for consultation, treatment, or resolution of problems related to documented nurse plans.
• Seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency.
• Set and implement goals and policies aligned with FutureCare’s nursing facility philosophy.
