Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our Maryland facility. Under RN supervision, you will assist in care planning, perform treatments, and collaborate with nursing staff to deliver high-quality resident care.

The role requires MD LPN licensure, CPR certification, and strong communication. Prior long-term or acute care experience is a plus, and a team-oriented, flexible attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus.
• Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed.
• Must possess a current CPR license.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate with applying knowledge and resources.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
• Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice provided is within State and Federal guidelines.
• Document care provided and report changes in resident status to shift supervisor.
• Review all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans.
• Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
• Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.
