Overview

Assist physician and ensure maximum efficiency; this includes taking vitals, rooming patients, etc. if needed. Set up for procedures and examinations; obtain lab test and other reports for physician review. Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow; revise daily schedule ensuring all pertinent records are available for physician review.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures pre-visit planning workflow is completed prior to visit, whenever possible
  • Optimizes care coordination with hospitals, emergency room, consulting physicians, and community resources as needed
  • Develops workflow to ensure smooth transition of care for patients treated in facility by a specialty position or other healthcare provider
  • Reviews after visit summary with patients when appropriate
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
Qualifications
  • Graduation certificate from accredited LPN or RN school of nursing
  • Active LPN or RN License
  • 2 years’ experience preferred, but not required
