About the role: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN will assist physicians and nursing personnel with diagnostic procedures, support the medical team in patient assessments, and help maintain a safe care environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Current North Carolina or Compact licensure.
• Obtain NC licensure within 90 days if holding a multi‑state compact license.
• BLS certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide and document nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Assist physicians and nursing personnel with diagnostic procedures.
• Evaluate nursing care, assist in patient response assessment, and aid in determining nursing priorities.
• Participate in development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain the care environment, including equipment and material resources.
• Identify operational performance improvements and participate in related activities.
• Assist in control and maintenance of material resources and report equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in in‑service education programs and other conferences.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
