Job summary

Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River seeks an LPN for the Day Shift to provide hands-on nursing care alongside RNs, CNAs, physicians and therapy staff in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.

You will administer medications, monitor changes in condition, and support the care team to help patients recover and regain independence. Join a team-focused environment where clinical skills matter and patient progress is celebrated.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly.

Your Role as an LPN

As a Day Shift LPN, you'll provide hands‑on nursing care while working closely with RNs, CNAs, physicians, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. You'll administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in condition, support CNAs, communicate with families and providers, and help patients achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their recovery.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition
• Perform nursing procedures within your scope of practice
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and other disciplines
• Supervise and support CNAs and Nursing Assistants
• Educate and communicate with patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Help create an environment focused on recovery, dignity, and independence

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute-care experience preferred
• New graduate LPNs are encouraged to apply
