Job summary

AdventHealth Calhoun is seeking an experienced LPN to lead and coordinate clinical training across our facilities. This full-time role focuses on onboarding, continuing education, and standardizing procedures to improve patient care.

You will work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with responsibilities for developing SOPs, conducting post-training assessments, and ensuring compliance with CDC guidelines. LPN license and 2+ years primary care are required.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.
• Technical/Vocational School required.
• Completion of licensed practical nurse program.
• 2+ years primary care experience required.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• 4+ years primary care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assigns new hire training, conducts post-training assessments, and assists with ongoing clinical education initiatives.
• Leads continuous clinical training across locations ensuring standard work and policies & procedures are consistent across all sites of care.
• Follows CDC guidelines for sterile technique and isolation; enforces safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Develops monthly communication tools to update the clinical team on best practices and creates pocket guides, SOPs, and flowcharts for clinical teams.

Participates in department performance improvement activities, attends clinical meetings, follows up on assignments/issues, completes tasks, and reports ongoing performance indicators. Creates monthly communication tools to update the clinical team on best practices and develops pocket guides, SOPs, and flowcharts for clinical teams to follow in accordance with evidence-based practice. Leads continuous clinical training across locations ensuring standard work and policies & procedures are consistent across all sites of care. Follows CDC guidelines for sterile technique and isolation, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of general clinical practices to include principals of primary care, nursing, and laboratory. [Required]
