Qualifications

• Current LPN license or CMA certification required.
• Knowledge of nursing care practices and Iowa Board regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Computer literacy and experience with electronic health records.
• Two years of nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for provider visits in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Obtain and document patient information including chief complaints, allergies, pain assessments, vital signs, and weight.
• Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient concerns, needs, or status changes appropriately.
• Provide patient education and distribute applicable educational materials based on patient needs and learning considerations.
• Explain laboratory and diagnostic testing procedures, including preparation instructions.
• Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice and according to provider orders or RN delegation.
• Utilize safe clinical practices and infection control procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, quality patient care.
