As a Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions
• Monitor patients' mental and physical health
• Take patient vitals, do assessments, document progress and report changes to RN supervisor
• Assist with therapy sessions
• Workclosely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and plan for discharge

A few must-haves for Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurses:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in GA
• Minimum of 1 full year experience as an LPN. Preferably in psych or behavioral health setting
• CPR & First Aidcertification
• Current TB
• Must be current on all vaccination
• Must have a current physical
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
• Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion
