Job summary

Avamere Rehabilitation of Burien is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN role with all shifts. Wage ranges from $39 to $45 per hour, located at 1031 SW 130th St, Burien, WA. You will provide essential nursing care under RN supervision, including vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and resident support.

You will monitor residents, document changes, communicate with families and the care team, and supervise CNAs as needed while ensuring safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in this state
• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment
• Prefer experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs.
• Medication administration: Administer medications as prescribed, under RN supervision.
• Wound care: Change dressings and monitor for infection.
• Hygiene and mobility: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and mobility.
• Nutrition and hydration: Ensure proper nutrition and hydration; assist feeding if necessary.
• Record patient history and monitor current condition.
• Observe and document changes; report concerns to RN.
• Communicate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Under RN supervision, supervise CNAs in delivering basic care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control; document care provided.

Schedule: All shifts

Wage: $39 - $45 hour

Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse provides basic nursing care, including vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and assisting residents with daily activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities

Basic Nursing Care:

• Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respirations.


• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by a physician, following facility protocols and under the supervision of an RN.


• Wound Care: Perform wound care, including changing dressings and monitoring for signs of infection.


• Hygiene and Mobility: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and mobility.


• Nutrition and Hydration: Ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration, assisting with feeding if necessary.

Patient Monitoring:

• Patient History: Record a patient's history and current condition.


• Observation: Observe and document changes in a resident's condition, reporting any concerns to the RN.


• Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals

Collaboration and Supervision:

• RN Supervision: Work under the supervision of an RN, following their guidance and instructions.


• CNA Supervision: Supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in providing basic nursing care.


• Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care.


• Other Duties:


• Patient Safety: Maintain a safe environment for residents, following infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.


• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, including medications administered, vital signs, and any observations.


• Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.

Requirements and Qualifications
