Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Health in West Monroe, LA is seeking a licensed LPN to join our Adolescent Unit, caring for patients aged 12–17 who are receiving behavioral health treatment.

In this role you will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, monitor patients, and document assessments while collaborating with RNs, therapists, and physicians to support individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Louisiana LPN license.
• Experience with adolescents is preferred.
• Behavioral health or pediatric experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adolescent patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and according to facility policy.
• Monitor patients and report changes in physical or behavioral condition.
• Assist with nursing assessments and patient documentation.
• Support treatment plans and communicate observations to the treatment team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment.
• Work collaboratively with RNs, Mental Health Technicians, therapists, physicians, and other staff.
• Assist with patient needs while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Participate in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and behavioral interventions as trained.
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and facility policies.
