Hospital Details

Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland, located in Portland, OR, is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The LPN/LVN ensures the unit functions smoothly and efficiently under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, supervision of nursing care, demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, and developing clinical expertise.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• IV Certification.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Three (3) years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• One (1) year of area-specific experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer and software applications.
• Clear of illegal drug use and effects of substance use in the workplace.
