Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN to work remotely with our client located in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will perform medical review of clinical information using established criteria or clinical guidelines. You will provide support and review of medical claims and utilization practices.

Job Duties

1. Support and coordinate daily operations of the assigned area.
2. Interface regularly with medical management to handle more complex UR cases for outpatient utilization review.
3. Maintain the outpatient authorization process, including verifying benefit coverage, reviewing/ determining eligibility, and applying established UR criteria.
4. Complete authorizations following established policies.
5. Review interdepartmental requests and medical information to complete the utilization process.
6. Document processes and decisions accurately and promptly in the appropriate system.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Carolina or an active, multistate unrestricted LPN license via compact.
• At least 3 years of managed care or physician's office experience.
• Proficiency with computers.
