Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for part-time evenings at the McHenry County Jail. This role involves providing quality care and support to underserved patients, implementing treatments under RN supervision, and collaborating with health practitioners.

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part Time Evenings

Compensation: $35.29–$39.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Healthcare Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as needed.
• Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications—including IV therapy (if certified)—and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
• Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high‑quality patient care.

Additional Details

We are looking for a part‑time LPN to join our clinical team at McHenry County Jail. This position is 16 hours a week on the 2 p–10:30 p shift and every other weekend.
