Job summary

Medicalodges is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care in accordance with physician orders and the resident plan of care. The role supports seniors in a 100% employee-owned family of facilities dedicated to high-quality care.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care-plan updates, med administration, attending rounds, and supervising direct care staff. Requires active LPN license in good standing and CPR (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing in the state where the facility is located.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice.
• Interest in working with geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs resident reviews on admission, monitors health status, and documents findings in the electronic clinical record.
• Updates the care plan with changes in resident status and communicates changes to licensed and direct care staff.
• Administers and documents medication, treatment, and procedures per physician orders and the resident plan of care.
• Responds to and documents resident and family concerns and actions taken.
• Routinely performs rounds to verify residents are in a safe and comfortable environment and receiving planned care.
• Assists in and provides assistance with activities of daily living of the residents.
• Supervises, assigns and assists in the nursing activities of the direct care staff.
