Job summary

First Atlantic Healthcare seeks a Night Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. You will document resident interactions, prepare residents for procedures, and assist with recovery care after initial treatment.

A sign-on bonus of $8,000 is offered for eligible employees. You will monitor vitals, assist with daily care, and support the medical team while maintaining confidential records and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current LPN license in Maine required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' vitals and record them.
• Maintain resident cleanliness and comfort (bathing, feeding, dressing).
• Assist with basic medical tasks, including administering medication.
• Update resident records confidentially.

• Move residents between wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys.

Overview

Night Shift Opportunity! LPNs work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and record all resident interactions to develop thorough documentation about their care. They help prepare residents for procedures and assist with routine recovery care after initial treatment. LPNs usually work with several residents at once and administer care according to a schedule, upholding medical routines and procedures. $8,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible employees.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident’s vitals and record them in their file
• Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident, including bathing, feeding and dressing
• Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
• Update resident records in a confidential manner
• Evaluate the resident’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
• Explain treatments and procedures to resident and families

• Move residents from wheelchairs, beds and gurneys

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine.
