Job summary

Sentara Medical Group in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Family Medicine First Colonial Clinic. You will support physicians and RNs in delivering direct patient care, take vitals, administer meds, draw blood, and perform basic diagnostic tests in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

New graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years of ambulatory experience preferred. BLS certification and an active LPN license (NCLEX-PN completed) are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current, unencumbered LPN license is required and NCLEX-PN completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and registered nurses to provide direct patient care in a clinical or physician practice setting.
• Take vital signs and document health information.
• Administer medications and draw blood.
• Perform simple diagnostic tests.
• May direct the work of nursing assistants and aides.
