Job summary

VA Palo Alto Health Care System is seeking an on-site Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide licensed practical nursing services at VA facilities. You will support patient care under the direction of Registered Nurses and VA clinical staff, and perform LPN duties within VA standards.

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with no negative indicators.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent LPN experience.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to pass VA background investigation and credentialing.
• Completion of required VA training, immunizations, and occupational health screenings prior to first duty shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Variable shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours)
• Coverage may include day, evening, and night shifts
• No overtime and no holiday work authorized
• Maximum of 40 hours per week

• Proof of licensure, education, and training upon request
• Compliance with VA infection control, immunization, and annual training requirements
• Adherence to VA privacy, security, and professional conduct standards
