Specialty Orthopedic Group seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Tupelo, MS clinic. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, with some travel to other clinics; mileage is reimbursed per IRS rates.

The LPN provides basic medical care, medication dispensing, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. Ideal candidates have an active Mississippi LPN license, clinic experience, strong computer skills, and excellent phone etiquette.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Mississippi (required).
• 1 year orthopedic experience preferred.
• Experience treating patients in a clinical setting.
• Cooperative work attitude toward staff, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.

Responsabilités

• Under supervision of Provider, maintain nursing standards of care.
• Chart notes accurately and timely; document patient progress.
• Interview patients and document medical history.
• Organize and schedule appointments.
• Check patients and type up charts; prepare memos and forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Specialty Orthopedic Group is currently seeking aLPNto join our clinic primarily in Tupelo, MS.This position will be Monday-Friday, full time. The schedule will include 2-3 very fast-paced clinic days with the remaining as office days. Candidate must be willing to commute to other clinics as needed with mileage to be reimbursed at the standard rate set by the IRS.

JOB SUMMARY

The LPN provides basic medical care to patients in an orthopedic clinic; maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures; provides for the safe and efficient dispensing of doses of medication to patients consistent with the organization's procedure and as ordered by the Physician; responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient's symptoms, responses and progress. Must be proficient on computer, scheduling, and have excellent phone etiquette.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under the supervision of Provider and maintains practical nursing professional standards of care
• Charts in notes accurately and in a timely manner, documents provided, maintain appropriate records related to patient’s progress and activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year orthopedic experience preferred
• Training or experience treating patients in a clinical setting
• Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
• Ability to promote favorable clinic image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public
• Active LPN license in Mississippi (required)
