Our team is committed to providing trauma-informed, client-centered services that promote lasting recovery.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Springfield, Massachusetts facility. The LPN plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate medical care to individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in addiction or psychiatric environments, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and uphold infection control practices and regulatory reporting standards.
• Assist with urinalysis toxicology testing and data analysis.
• Accurately enter provider orders for clients in the EMR.
• Perform triage of medical issues and provide basic assessments of patient health.
• Enter communication notes into the EMR regarding client symptoms and health complaints.
• Maintain effective communication with doctors and scheduling coordinators.
• Co-facilitate HIV/Hepatitis and Nutrition group sessions; document related notes.
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Maintain accurate, legible logs of client activities.
• Communicate client concerns to counselors or administrative staff as needed.
• Complete required documentation such as shift reports, medical logs, and MORs.
• Report for scheduled shifts punctually and reliably.
• Assist in the training of BHT staff on basic medical protocols.
• Be available to work overtime as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Qualifications / Required Experience

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Massachusetts.
• CPR Certification required.
• Preferred: Multiple years of experience in a substance abuse or psychiatric treatment setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
