As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) , you will provide direct patient care while ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and problem solver who can quickly recognize patient needs, prioritize treatment, and collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.

Compensation: $22-26 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm

Location: Shreveport, LA 71119

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage patient care according to each patient’s needs.
  • Interview patients and record their medical history and physical condition.
  • Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
  • Provide routine care for patients.
  • Observe patients’ health.
  • Review medical charts.
  • Accompany patients to their rooms.
  • Assist physicians and registered nurses in patient care.
  • Communicate with patients and their families.
  • Perform standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and others as directed.
  • Complete annual mandatory training by the due date as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certification (required).
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider.
  • At least one year of experience in a health care setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Advanced understanding of critical nursing skills.
  • Demonstrated patient care skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods.
  • Must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodations — speak and hear.
  • Able to use both hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to push up to 300lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
