HCA Florida West Women’s Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This full-time position is Monday–Friday, day shift, with no nights, no on-call, no weekends, and no holidays.

As an LPN, you will manage patient flow, prepare for exams, collect samples, take vitals, document records, coordinate tests, and support providers. We offer a robust benefits package and opportunities to grow within HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations
• No Travel Required

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of samples/tests, and obtaining vitals
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions
• Manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results
• Schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider
• Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients
• Control inventory and monitoring of supplies
• Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians
• Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
