Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver efficient nursing care under RN direction. You will evaluate residents, contribute to assessments and care planning, administer medications, and supervise unlicensed staff to ensure high-quality care and patient/family satisfaction.

Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program, hold an active LPN license or have pending licensure, and maintain current BLS/CPR certification as required by state

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Current license by the State Board of Nursing or pending LPN licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification as required by state practice.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes in condition.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.

Posted Salary Range

USD $29.00 - USD $33.50 /Hr.
