Job summary

Genesis in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide efficient nursing care under the direction of an RN. You will evaluate residents, participate in assessments, administer medications, and supervise unlicensed staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved practical nursing program, current LPN license (or pending licensure) in the state, and valid BLS/CPR certification where required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensure as an LPN.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification if required by state or employer.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, deliver efficient and effective nursing care.
• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Education

Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing

Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure

Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility
