Job summary

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center in the Kansas City metro area is seeking a dependable LPN to join our nursing team. You will provide direct care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain safe, resident-centered care.

This position offers Part-Time and PRN shifts (Days/Nights). Competitive pay of $32–$37 per hour, with full-time benefits for eligible staff and a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license in Kansas.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification as required by the facility.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, or other clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, standards, and regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to the physician, RN, supervisor, and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Perform nursing assessments, treatments, wound care, medication management, and other duties within LPN scope.
• Supervise and direct CNAs and other nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, therapy, MDS, admissions, social services, dietary, and other team members.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Promote a positive, resident-centered, team-oriented culture.

Job Summary

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to be a key member of our nursing team. The LPN will provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident conditions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, consistent, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered.

• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate physician, registered nurse, supervisor, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

• Perform nursing assessments, treatments, wound care, medication management, and other clinical duties within the LPN scope of practice.

• Supervise and provide direction to Certified Nursing Assistants and other assigned nursing staff.

• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, therapy, MDS, admissions, social services, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident care.

• Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, physicians, and facility team members.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.

• Follow infection prevention, medication administration, resident safety, and quality assurance protocols.

• Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas.

• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification as required by the facility.

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, or other clinical setting preferred.
