Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Oak Hill is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate must hold a state license, be able to evaluate and treat independently, and have a passion for geriatric care.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, documenting care daily, attending IDT meetings, and managing caseload. Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited respiratory program; licensed RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Deliver various bedside treatments and conduct quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and manage caseload; perform related duties as required.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
