Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) across all shifts at our Virginia locations. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, routine nursing duties, and coordination with medical and clinical teams to ensure high-quality care.

Expect duties such as vital signs, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with UR and pharmacy services. Candidates should hold a VA LPN license, have at least a year in the treatment field, and demonstrate

• High School diploma or GED required; 1-year diploma program preferred.
• Current, valid LPN license in Virginia.
• Minimum 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client on admission.
• Perform all nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appointments and labs, updating charts).
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain med logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain impeccable medical documentation and medication logging.

Days: 6am-6pm

Nights: 6pm-6am

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission
• Perform all nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appts and labs, updating charts...)
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain med logs
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging for each client

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma/ GED
• Minimum one-year diploma program post-high school
• Current, valid LPN licensure in VA
• 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent collaborative, multitasking and time management skills
