Job summary

Entertainment Community Fund's Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ seeks a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver direct nursing care under RN supervision. The role includes supervising nursing assistants and coordinating care plans for residents.

The position requires an active NJ LPN license, at least 1 year of LPN experience, and flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Night/weekend shift differentials apply, with competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate residents' plans of care.
• Coordinate nursing services to maintain the resident's total regimen of care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure adequate floor stock medications, supplies and equipment.
• Administer treatments and procedures as required.
• Complete and file records upon resident admission and residence.
• Report and investigate all allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation.

NEW RATES $34/HR - $37/HR + $2.00 Shift Differential for Nights and Weekends

Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star Rating is seeking Full Time or Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants.

Job Duties

• Ensures that all residents are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure throughout their stay by reviewing resident's plan of care.
• Coordinates nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with current federal, state and local standards.
• Ensures that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies and equipment is on hand to meet nursing needs of the residents.
• Administers professional services such treatments of catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/ bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc. as required.
• Completes and files required records/forms/charts upon the resident’s admission and residence.
• Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse and or misappropriation of resident property.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
• Minimum of 1-year experience working as an LPN.
• Knowledge of electronic charting a plus.
• Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.
• Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners and others.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.

About This Position

This is an hourly position offering a range between $34/HR - $37/HR in The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The current shift demands are inclusive of 7am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, & 11pm-7:30am and scheduling needs are flexible between every weekend or every other weekend.
