Job summary

Broward Childrens Center Inc in Florida is seeking an experienced LPN to provide medical and physical care for residents. Responsibilities include administering medications, tracheostomy care, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support for ventilator-dependent children.

You will maintain resident charts, assist with emergencies, accompany children to appointments, and report issues to the physician or supervisor.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Pediatric or ventilator experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications/treatments to residents.
• Perform tracheostomy care including changing, cleaning and emergency care.
• Perform nasopharyngeal and oral suctioning; provide oxygen therapy and respiratory support for ventilator residents.
• Maintain charts and ensure the resident environment is clean and orderly.
• Report emergencies to physician or supervisor; accompany child to emergency room when necessary.
• Arrange clinics and appointments, and report staffing shortages as needed.
