Job summary

Magnolia Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Covington, TN seeks a licensed LPN for full-time day and night shifts. You will provide bedside care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with RNs and physicians.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee LPN license.
• Compassionate, customer-focused care.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and assist with personal hygiene.
• Record and monitor vital signs (BP, pulse, RR).
• Collect health information and document accurately.
• Relay information between patients, RNs and physicians.
• Administer oral meds and injections as prescribed.
• Test blood glucose and monitor levels.
• Assist with urinary catheter care as needed.
• Support LTC/geriatrics or rehab patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily activities.
• Observe for changes in patient condition and report.
• Maintain proper charting and medical records.
• Ask clarifying questions to RNs when unsure.
• Model professional behavior for staff.
• Protect patient confidentiality of records.

LPN responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance

• Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)

• Collect patient’s health information

• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians

• Give oral medications and injections to patients

• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels

• Urinary catheter insertion and care

• LTC, geriatrics or rehab.

• Assist patients with personal hygiene

• Monitor for changes in patients

• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records

• Asks questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse.

• Acts as a role model for ancillary personnel.

• Maintains the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.

LPN qualifications:

• Current LPN license in the state

• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills

• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
