Job summary

Magnolia Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Covington, VA is seeking an LPN to provide bedside care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with RNs and physicians on patient care plans.

Qualified candidates will hold an active Virginia LPN license, CPR/First Aid certification, and demonstrate compassion, strong customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and periodic pay raises.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care including personal hygiene.

• Chart and maintain patient records.
• Ask questions for clarification to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

LPN responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance

• Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)

• Collect patient’s health information

• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians

• Give oral medications and injections to patients

• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels

• Urinary catheter insertion and care

• LTC, geriatrics or rehab.

• Assist patients with personal hygiene

• Monitor for changes in patients

• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records

• Asks questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse.

• Acts as a role model for ancillary personnel.

• Maintains the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.

LPNqualifications:

• Up to date first aid and CPR certification

• Current LPN license in the state

• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills

• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
